We've seen cowboys fighting demons, cowboys fighting aliens, and now cowboys fighting zombies. This tactical game in colorful low poly visuals has received content and polishing over the course of its ten months of Early Access.

It's already been five years since the release of the original Darkes Dungeon, with its gorgeous dark fantasy atmosphere and challenging tactical combat. Its sequel has entered Early Access a couple of days ago on the Epic Games Store.[www.epicgames.com] It retains the key elements of the first game and adds a roguelite system of coach-mounted expeditions. The game currently includes 9 playable characters, dozens of monsters and about two thirds of its final content. It's meant to stay in Early Access for a year or so and come to Steam a year after that, following the precedent of Old World.


Five years? The original SotS: The Pit, a sci-fi roguelike with tons of content, was launched nearly ten years ago! A sequel with 3D visuals has been released in Early Access last week.

Set in Europe and Middle East during the Bronze Age, this historical game aims at streamlining 4X gameplay into a much simpler and shorter format. We'll see how this refreshing endeavour goes.

The indie collective which made Tenderfoot Tactics is working on a new project. Its gameplay will include potion brewing, gardening, relationship building, exploration and of course turn-based combat. The witch hunters are coming to town and it means trouble to a witch like you.

This dice-based tactical game promises plenty of unlockable modifiers and a risk vs reward system which could add a lot of tactical depth. The art style seems original, if not always legible.

Here's an upcoming tactical game inspired by Fire Emblem and Into the Breach. Each of the five (?) playable character will have their own skill tree and personality to discover when camping after each fight. Note that the quick-time events displayed in the trailer can be toggled off.
