SteaScree: Steam Cloud Screenshot Uploader

SteaScree is a simple cross-platform open-source utility which makes screenshots taken without the use of Steam's in-game overlay uploadable to the Steam Cloud. You just pick pics and a game and SteaScree will do the rest.

Portable build for Windows now available

SteaScree is now available as a portable Windows build, for those of you who don't feel like installing the app.

You still may get that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen nag about the danger of running "unrecognized app", but it also warns you when you are installing the app, so it's nothing new.

SteaScree 1.5.4 "JPEG Quality Update" Just Released

Hey everyone, SteaScree's version just got bumped to 1.5.4. In this newest release some nasty bugs were fixed, one of which even prevented a number of users from using the app at all.

As for the new features, there is one — a custom JPEG quality setting. In some cases SteaScree needs to process incoming image, for example when it is not in a JPEG format, or when it is, but have a really huge size. Some folks complained about the default JPEG quality setting (95) in the previous versions, suggesting to increase it to the maximum (100). Strarting from 1.5.4, you set it yourself.

Hello, when mass uploading screenshots on Steam. They seem to upload backwards (most recent first). So when taking screenshots in chronological order the upload messes up my screenshot grid. Is there any way to make steam upload the oldest screenshot first like it was before the new Steam update? Thanks

So, I attempted my workaround with another batch of screenshots today. They were in order for the most part *except* for maybe 10% of the screenshots being out of order. I'm at a loss as I tried my method of screenshotting the original screenshots to make them completely new and properly ordered, and while they show up in userdata in the correct order, they aren't in order in the screenshot manager/uploader. Any ideas?

Totally my bad, since it's been a while I forgot I had to click "Prepare screenshots...", well at least I discovered this group now.

Still working.
As Shade pointed out though, the shots aren't ordered by upload date anymore, but by date the shots were taken.
Might that be the same case with you? Sometimes have to scroll a while to find the just uploaded shot.

So is this not working with the new Steam Interface? It always worked before, I tried now and even after the process the screen won't appear on Steam
