Facebook and Twitter will probably stay confined to web browser use only though. No reason to have a separate program to access something another already can.
Hmm Because some people are in Clans or Guilds That Require Teamspeak for Voice comms.. I don't get how some people think now days stuff like Skype or even steam for that matter is an good platform to run an Guild or Clan.. FYI steam and other platforms you have no control over have an High failure rate.. heck i can count sometimes about six or so times an day the whole steam community just goes down from being over loaded or what not.. where as with Teamspeak or Vent or even mumble you have full control over the environment..
This is Coming From an Guild/Clan/ Gaming Community Leader that has to worry about these things :P
Since SteamOS doesn't come with a desktop and is basically all Big Picture Mode you probably won't have any luck simply launching Linux applications even if you installed them with some package manager or built them from source. You can't put windows infront of a fullscreen application (Steam BPM).
