repo.steampowered.com goes through the CDN and will spread the load. The steamstatic link people are passing around is not behind a CDN.

ya im getting between 90kbps to 150 mb sec then stalls out there just getting hammmed sucks

I stopped using wget. I'm using uGet so it saves my progress. Slowly making my way there. I wish someone would torrent this thing.

you can also use resync to download files cause its a zip file even if it stops and stalls resync will just add back in anyting thats changed and or missing ..
