hi, how do I make STEAMOS in a bootable iso image? From under Windows?
I made a multi-bootable USB flash drive of my dreams, I just have to add steamos there! How can I make an image?

There's both a zip and an iso you can download.
That being said, don't bother with the current SteamOS, is too outdated, older drivers+older security patches. Is practically useless.
There will be at some point a SteamOS 3, that's what you (we) want.

You don't need to. SteamOS comes .zip compressed. All you need to do is download SteamOS, move it (zipped) to a FAT32 formatted USB drive (Or FAT32 Partition on your USB drive), unzip, wait for completion, delete the old SteamOS.zip and reboot your PC to install, preferably without Secure Boot as it screws things up the old Debian 8 "Jessie" that SteamOS is based on.

just the right thing, because I made a flash drive with all my windows! And through the venta program, and there to choose which OS you want to install, you need exactly the idea of an Iso image!

I use the tool Ventoy. This sets up a USB stick and then you just have to put the ISO's in the root directory. When booting it shows all ISO's and you only have to select the ISO you want to start/install. If there is a new version, just delete the old ISO and drag the new one onto the stick. Easier you can not create a bootstick.

so when you download SteamOS, it does not swing in iso format, but in a zip, and when you open the zip, it's just there in folders, how can you assemble it in iso? I tried but my installation stops working fine.

and that is, there is no point now? I understand and then in the future it will be through iso? Thanks for the reply.

We'll know more after the Deck launch (25 Feb or so). Valve stated that SteamOS will be available to download sometime after the launch, whatever that means.

As a side note, I imagine that after the deck gets to consumers there will plenty of dumped (unofficial) SteamOS images around the net.
