Newest SteamOS for own Steam Machine?
I built a PC for Linux gaming with 7800x3d and 7900xt, is the latest version of SteamOS for own Steam Machine the latest version as on the Steamdeck?

If not, can you recommend a Linux distro? I have experience with Nobara, but my girlfriend is too simple-minded to use it. I have also installed PopOS and Ubuntu in the past years ago on a older PC, but never gamed on it.

What i need is:
1. When logging in, I need a way to authenticate with a pin in addition to the password, like under Windows.

2. Game should run good, i have good memorys on Nobara.

3. How about my aRGB Lightnings on my Asus Mainboard, any way to control it? I also have Steelseries Mouse and Keyboard.

4. easy install for gpu drivers, i dont like open source driver.

i think the easiest linux distro should be Linux Mint, or Ubuntu, both allows you to install proprietary drivers
It isn't. While planned, Valve hasn't provided any kind of updates on the release of SteamOS v3 (brewmaster) and in fact, de-listed the download for the outdated v2 version (and replaced it with the Steam-deck recovery image for somr reason).
If you want a strictly similar "Straight to Steam Big Picture" experience as it was with SteamOS. You could either check out the ChimeraOS or the reverse-engineered SteamOS 3, HoloISO.
As you know NobaraOS, you could also setup Nobara to boot Steam Big Picture while still being able to go to the desktop if necessary.

ChimeraOS tend to really specialize by having big picture mode by default (But with extra tools of course to configure retro games out of the box), but i think it does have support for the in-developpement OpenGamepadUI which is indeed sweet-looking. https://github.com/ShadowBlip/OpenGamepadUI
Installing a "classic" linux distribution is also a good choice as Shugo suggested. Specifically, an Ubuntu based one (I think, including Linux Mint, but also Linux Lite) as it is officially the only supported one by Valve (even if the current v3 version of the SteamOS is on Arch Linux). Proprietary drivers should also be better supported on it. (I really doesn't suggest you to install the proprietary AMD drivers however, as it worsen performance and compatibility for quite a lot of things, gaming and profesionnal stuff too despite it)

I tryed so much distros the last days, looks like my pc sucks on linux. every debian / ubuntu based Distro hangs when it boot up with my 7900 xt.

Nobara with KDE can´t open Steam, it have a crash loop.
Nobara with Gnome works, but games shutters, with my 1070gtx it works fine but the card is weak.

I read something like i need a new Firmware for the Sapphire 7900 xt Nitro+, i will try contact Sapphire Support...

But RGB works flawless with Nobara and OpenRGB

If you have the right HW for it look up HoloISO, if not then IIRC Garuda was a gaming/steam focused Distro.
How is booting from Linux to STEAM? Are you able to Boot straight to it?
Kinda like how the STEAM Link was able to do it with the Log-In Screen?

("I SEEM TO HAVE ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION")
("You Had Issues")

To make it feel more like a Console? Differently from that of PC?

aRGB Lighting on Motherboard? Isn't this done from your UEFI Bios?
I don't know what Steelseries Keyboard & Mouse is? If it's got the
same aRGB Lighting? That might be a Driver & Software Install &
possibly yes or no on Linux for this Ability. & lastly, as for GPU Drivers
I do not know about GPU, because last time I had major issues with
my GPU on Linux like 3 or 4 Years ago.

A good alternative to SteamOS is Garuda. The Bird of Prey version has just been released: https://forum.garudalinux.org/t/garuda-linux-bird-of-prey-240428/36387

Having just gone through this and trying a few distros (ubuntu, pop_os, and mint), I can confidently say that Mint was by far the easiest for a noob. I couldn't get my games working on the other two and there were always issues (like lack of sound through hdmi on pop, ubuntu's snap stuff). Go to Mint and life will be easy.
