What are these countless emoji spam comments on random profiles?

Im sorry if this isnt the right forum to post this i couldnt find anything belonging to steam profiles.

So im trading csgo knifes and on the look for enw deals i come across many steam profiles everyday. Now many of these profiles have tens of thousands of comments on them with random emoji pixel art thingys and im just not sure 1. why anyone would want that and 2. if thats ven allowed? since its 100% botted and these comments arent just like 1 or 2 its literally thounsands of them on a single profile... anyone know what they are supposed to do or why people do it? thanks ^^

It's just spam and it's regular people doing and posting them, it's easy to copy and paste them over and over again and some even have script that spams the friends list on many profiles.

Some people like to have as many comments as possible (50k is the max on Steam then the first comments are pushed out) it makes them think they are more legit or k00l I guess.
