Steam avatars bans are extremely hypocritical...

So I had an avatar for a few weeks now of a Hulk figurine grunting under the stress of holding up a pair of knockers, but the knockers were totally cropped off the edge of the box, and you saw no more skin than you would a woman in a bikini... Not a single thing was wrong with the image. I get a random week ban from avatars and I suspect its from some salty losers in the discussions just reporting me for anything they possibly can.

The kicker? You can go on the Steam Points Store right now and find sexualized little girl GIFS with their knockers flopping around, hanging out of bras, cat ears, latex, mouth open drooling like an adult film. I mean they are literally selling adult games on here where you do coitus with bird ogres...

What the actual ♥♥♥♥ is wrong with Steam, that they just let anyone report anything and give it no real evaluation? Pretty pathetic. We should file a class action for them supporting that content in their avatar section because its totally affecting me emotionally and I dont think I can go on any longer this way...

That is how Valve is now a days, it's full of contradictions and hypocrites, with grey rules that they can justify their actions anyway they want, and we have to live with it if we want to use their garbage platform anymore.

Op I don’t put anything in my profile besides creepy spiritual stuff or dark atmosphere. No strong violence, no blatant sexuality, no crass humor, and definitely no politics or ideal pushing. Cause these are all things that will get you in a crosshair. Not just nowadays, not just steam, all over the internet. And there is a reason. Moderators are all not all some unified force with established convictions. Many have their own biases and circle of friends. It was even worse before the paid mods, and that’s something blueberry is trying not to put attention on with the nowadays.

Report bombing is also a thing. Your hulk avatar doesn’t sound that bad to me. But if people dislike you, stalk you, continually harass you, or hold a grudge, they can get you. They will look for whatever they can to report bomb, and when you get tons of reports from people who have a grudge, well you get so much that they don’t make a judgement call they just do what a majority wants. That’s just my theory I’m not saying this is true.

Imo there needs to be more established rules and limitations on what companies can do to paying customers. Their lifeblood, the people who pay their bills. They should only be able to eliminate someone if they are using dangerous online behavior. Stalking, doxing, posting strong pornography where it doesn’t belong, posting real death (altho our national news does it all the time) etc. Racism and bigotry is also one that should be enforced cause it’s personal attacks on an entire group of people. But a woman’s chest area, covered up. It’s like you can see that same thing in public and no one bans her from life.

I don’t even look at my community messages anymore I just mark them as read. Cause I really don’t care anymore due to the massive and constant contradictions.

All facets of life are a popularity contest. Online, work, real life. People eliminate and purge people all the time and that doesn’t always mean death. It can mean just getting rid of people. Silencing them, alienating them, threatening them, or banishing them. It’s a heavy part of history and has been done since the caveman days. It has nothing to do with you being a bad person, weak, sick, etc. They do it cause you think for yourself in a way that greatly angers them. I know from experience and it sucks.

Well you're exactly right, and its just BS. My Steam accounts worth a good $2k+ and I can just get the basement dweller report attack treatment by anyone on here with a profile because they didn't like that I think X game is good and X game isnt? Kinda crazy. Makes a person wish we had a non woker platform. Ofcourse support told me my avatar pic "wasnt a good fit for Steam", but they are selling little cat girl knockers out pics... Unreal

No, I got an avatar ban, like you said, after I got reported for saying Hogwarts Legacy is better than BG3. People just spam reported my whole page, likely.

Then support told me the reason my avatar isnt a fit is because its "a real persons flesh" and not "fake cartoon persons flesh". Pretty lame excuse if you ask me, since nothing was shown. Im not gonna lie here. Its a genuine issue I think. They even reversed the avatar waiting period, because I think deep down they know that is absolutely silly.

Did you know the People who go around abusing the Report System?
If you did the same thing to them? Valve would actually BAN them into Oblivion...

The only reason these People get away with what they are doing Today,
& that Valve isn't doing anything about it, is because no one is technically
going after these People... People just let them do whatever they want,
& instead of doing something? People are just complaining about it...

Again, Valve doesn't care about it's Customer Base, & Valve would
BAN anyone on Steam that is targeted by the Report System...

& their Customer Base, is going on with the rest of Steam... They BAN
your Avatars, because People Report them... They don't BAN Steam Avatars,
because it's their Platform, again it's about not caring about their Customers...

In my honest Opinion?

I think the only reason Valve allows Politics, is because their Customer
Base is getting Banned too much, & if Permanent BAN's start becoming
a regular thing on Steam? Valve will have no more Forums to work with,
so I think that is why Valve now allows Politics in Steam...

In all honesty, I think Politics have no right to be on Steam & have
no right to be in the Video Game Market at all, but it's clearly obvious
that Politics have actually invaded Video Games, & that is the driving
reason why People talk about Politics soooo much & won't leave it alone...

Valve in my view is sorta Neglecting it's own Platform in the same
way that Valve is neglecting it's Customers...

The only way your getting anything done about your problems on
Steam is to actually take out a class action lawsuit against them,
or take your matters up with your Government or Court System,
but at the end of the Day, it comes down to the fact that Valve
has money, & you don't, so all Valve has to do is tie up the Court,
& you instantly lose the Court, because your money will run out,
resulting in the Court getting dropped, & Valve knows this, & that
is why Valve has no reason to believe they have anything to worry
about... You can't do anything as a Customer, you just get Neglected,
& you can't do jack about it...

The only thing Valve doesn't count on?

Is when Customers start thinking outside the box?

Customers start Neglecting Valve, treating them like trash,
abusing, & harassing the Company... Valve also can't account
for Users quiting the Platform... Valve also can't account for
Users being disruptive, hateful, & inflamatory in the Steam Forums,
because it causes trouble for Valve, this creates a situation
where Valve now has to actually do something about it,
because it's a growing problem...

So what does Valve actually do?

Their Moderators are to Eliminate the problem, but Valve
also can't account for People who refuse to go away,
& refuse to quit... This now means that Moderators are
completely useless, & this only infuriates Valve, because
they now have a problem, they can't do anything about...

Kinda like how Customers can't do anything about the
growing concerns they have with the Company, & how
much neglagence is being portrayed to them...

It takes one to know one...

Sooo ecentially all you have is just one giant Toxic Atmosphere
that just won't resolve it's self, & that is all you have...

Are you any more right then the Company & the Industry it's self?

Not really, but the Company & the Industry isn't anymore right either...

It's basically what is considered as Stalemate on both sides...

I'm completely Open to your thoughts, but i've already
ran like 1,000's of Scenerios around this & every one
of them results in Users & Customers losing here...

You have to remember, if Valve is allowed to get away with this,
then what is stopping other Companies from doing the same thing?

Someone has to break the cycle if we are ever going to get a better Experience...
