1 year waiting

Recently, I ended up having a problem, where I created the Steam family and by accident, I ended up deleting the family when I went to invite my brothers, support cannot help me and I will be left without sharing.

Nothing to do but wait a year sadly. I hope they will reset the cooldowns one time at the end of the BETA because a lot of users seem to have triggered them without even knowing about them.

I think a month would be more acceptable, as a year is a lot, I know this is to avoid signing bills, but, for accidents like ours and those of many people, support should be fully understood.

yeah, in my case, i had a fight with ONLY ONE of the members, he kicked me out, a friend of mine invited me again, BUT THE SAME M----------R KICKED US OUT, and now i cant pay him his xbox live gold (we said that he would get me xbox live gold if i shared games with him) now im f'd up and i need to wait a whole year (btw the group was MINE, hope they add more administration options and that only the admin would kick others out)

I joined a friends group by mistake and now i have to wait 1 year because support says they can't do anything. Sure, i get the 1 year cooldown, but is absurd to have it on a BETA feature. How can we test anything with that cooldown?

I also think there is a bit of a problem with this arrangement. I was invited to my friend's family before and I didn't know there was a one-year cooldown,

My tip is if you are the group creator, ONLY invite other accounts as "child" accounts.
There is really no restrictions joining a group as a "child" except child accounts cant invite or kick other members of the group.
That way you keep control over your created family.

tbh I wish there was no cooldown at all. Its a downgrade compared to the old system.

I am same with u，due to my error, my family will be ineligible to establish or join a new group for a period of one year. I trust that the pertinent regulations will be amended in the official version.

same problem here, its a crapp, support service all that knows to do is say "im sorry to hear that", lame. At least they could give us the option to leave the beta and keep the old sharing system but they dont.

Yeah they really need to either do a cooldown reset at the end of the beta or they need to change it to a one month cooldown. A year is far too long WHILE in beta due to mistakes everyone is making (including me)
