no sound

i figured out the reason for me was my headphones... when their plugged in it doesnt work... so steam needs to fix this

Can you let us know what headphones you use and if you see a notification from Steam while broadcasting that states it was unable to begin recording audio?

Steam broadcast will currently try to record audio going to your default output device (usually headphones or speakers). You can find what your default device is by right clicking on the speaker in your system tray and selecting "Playback devices".

its because your sound gets muted. go to your speaker in the bottom right of the screen in windows and UNMUTE.

I am using Kraken 7.1 and yes I see the notification from Steam whilte broadcasting that I have no sound

Same problem here with trying to watch a friends broadcast.
We've tried to fix it any way possible. Still doesnt work.

Same problem for me, tried the "fix" for steam being muted, but nothing was muted and/or had its volume lowered and i do not get any errors while streaming just other people cant hear my game, tried unplugging my headphones (siberia v2 frost blue) that didnt help.
