RECENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Backlog has been released in "Early Access", and we have a new group.
What about the chrome extension and the new group?
The chrome extension will be shut down in a month, we cannot support any longer that version. Mainly because of our servers have drastically changed.

And this group, called "Backlog Chrome Extension" is replaced for a more fitting group called "S.Backlog", and you can join it with this URL:

Steam Backlog - Release v1.0 RC7
:cjstar: Specific to RC7 changelog

- The extension now syncs in a few seconds. No matter if you have 100 games or 5000. You should have everything up to date in a moment. Also, the syncing now it's every 24h.

- This new syncing method is capable to give service to a bigger number of people, so doesn't matter if the extension is used by thousands.

- Added some little UI tweaks, animations and messages.

- New order: Order your library by release date.
Now you can order games by release date (older or newer). The release date is also shown in the game card.

- Games with demo available.
You will see a little indicator next to any demo of your wishlist that has a demo available.

Can you send me some examples of those unformatted dates? I couldn't find any one, and I need to see them to see how can implement this and avoid future bugs.

Add me to steam and we can talk by chat, or create a new thread in the group discussions, a bug report on github or a comment on trello (https://trello.com/b/fT77nsl3/steam-backlog) whatever you prefer.

thanks

I know there are some limitations, like some games using unformatted dates, like Q3 2017, or just August, 2008. If you need someone to help you with ideas on how to handle these cases, feel free to ask for my feedback again (I could also help you test it, if you want me to) =)

Thanks again for creating this, it's really great, and hopefully it will also suit my needs in the future.

From your Chrome extension page, I can see four tabs: Overview, Comments, Support, and Related Itens. I left it on the Support tab.

That's great news for me! Currently, I have a very long backlog on excel (my library is insanely huge, my backlog is more than half that size) because, except for games that take priority, I like to play/try games starting with the oldest ones. Currently, evertyime I get new games, I manually add each of them to my spreadsheet, with Release Dates so I can use it for sorting. It's a lot of work and a bit limited -- if I want to skip certain genres for a while, I have to do the research manually, for example.

Just to be curious, what support page do you mean? I looked everywhere and i couldn't find anything.

Answering your question, yes, we could fetch the game release date from the steam store page and include it in the extension information and maybe also do a sorting option. But we need to do some tests and thinking first.

Thanks for the feedback :Repair1:

I've asked this on Chrome extension support page, but I'll ask here, too:

I love how it looks so far. Do you think it would be possible to retrieve Release Date from games' store pages? If so, it'd be an awesome sorting option.

Thank you =)
