Something I forgot to post in the previous message is that ability scores will be calculated as such: all stats are set at 14, before racial adjustments (elves get a +2 to Dex and a -2 to Con, so they would start at 16 and 12, respectively). You can adjust your ability scores up to 18 and down to 8; however, if you get a minus 2 to a stat (such as Con), then you can get a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 16. If you get a bonus to a stat (such as Dex), then it can be a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20. You must keep a total of 84 ability points (14*6), but if you subtract 1 point from something you can add it elsewhere. Being level 8 characters, you get 2 free ability points to add anywhere (1 at 4th level, and 1 at 8th). This does not count toward your total of 18 (or 16/20, as the case might be).

If you have ANY questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to ask me. I still need to make that Dropbox shared folder with all of the accepted books, but I need somebody's either current email or Dropbox account info. If you want to do something outside of those books, please ask me. I will want to look over all of your character sheets before we start, and if you have a laptop and will be bringing it to the games, then you might want to make your character on www.mythweavers.com. If you do, I will need your Mythweavers account name, and you will have to set that character sheet to Public, and give me access (I'll tell you how to do that if you'll be using Mythweavers). Be warned, recently it's been having some issues, especially with saving the CSheet and with skill points. You will all start out at 27,000 gold (character wealth by level, DM's Guide pg. 135), and I am allowing just about any magic item. Please talk to me though! I'd like to start as soon as possible, and get a feel for how the party works together.
