Railbait has slowly but inevitably ceased to be so much of a static grouping of servers and more of a community of those that it brought together or enjoyed it along the way; we still have that. I think we should brainstorm some ideas. It can't hurt.
I'm open to them but I'm not very interested in populating an empty server from the ground up.
Lets face it, quickplay and then casual... then petty drama, and finally, life's distractions and priorities have drawn us away from a format that no longer seems viable such as it is.
I'm not quite ready to let go of the idea of having a place for us to play, but I also don't feel that holding onto servers for nostalgia is healthy or reasonable when we all know the sense of community never needed them and we still play together regardless.
We're open to hear your thoughts.
If we don't relaunch the servers, it's been a pleasure watching you guys grow and learn from one another in a place that fostered genuine and direct communication and we should all take that drive to respect one another and wear it openly no matter where we decide to play or what game we enjoy. This truly has been a special gathering of very diverse and inspiring people, so we should all be proud and not forget what we accomplished. Go on and influence others to shed their insecurities and engage them in thoughtful conversations and witty banter. I wouldn't look at this as a symbolic end to anything because Railbait is the people, not the servers.
