Sry I haven't seen this earlier Chris. I've been using a number of different editing softwares, movie maker, imovie, sony movie studio platinum and hitfilm express. If I'm gonna rank them from best-worst it's: Movie studio, hitfilm, imovie and movie maker. Movie maker and imovie are good and they are free in most cases. Hitfilm is more for compositing and is better to use together with movie studio. My suggestion if you wanna get started with videos is, start with using imovie or movie maker, if you are gonna continue making movies then get a better software, I bought the sony movie studio platinum 12 effects pack, In that you get both movie studio and hitfilm a very good combo for the price!
