Respect, Honor, Skill

I have often been asked: What is a clan? What purpose does it serve? Well, if you go by todays standards a clan is simply a mass group of people who play the same game. A popularity contest of sorts. Perhaps, in a sense, this has always been the case. |voodoo| however, is different. I, SoulReaver, have played games since the late 90's online with my first game being Aliens vs Predator Gold Edition on a gaming community called MPlayer. I remember the clans as they were. I remember old names, Digital, HEL-RAZOR, TCK, and more. I remember Digital-Matrix and his KOTH trophy. And I remember HEL-RAZOR_WISE with his more adult elites. I remember TCK-g0atb0y and his vision. These old memories pain me when I look at the clans today. The time for a change has more than come.

I am |voodoo|-SoulReaver. This has not changed for over 5 years as I have served under a similiar minded woman, |voodoo|-AmY'tHiSsS. |voodoo| has roots in AVP Gold and AVP2, and had even extended as far as L4D and TF2. Over time, we experienced some shortcomings. Personal objectives came before the clan's wellbeing and status. Vendettas against members within the very ranks of our very few kin tore the clan apart. But |voodoo| is not simply something that will lay over and die. It is as much a part of me as my own beating heart. The clans used to be something of honor, of skill. It used to be a sign, a symbol of greatness. That is what we will be. We may never shine as we once did. But, we will keep the flame of the gaming community blazing bright and pure!

We are the last clan, the final glimmer of hope and the last flicker of the fire we once called the gaming community. We are the few, the proud. We are more than a clan, we are an experience. We are forever.
