The end of a era has come.

Hello Everyone, Unfortunately the time has come to shut down. I am sure this is no shock to anyone as the amount of game servers has been getting smaller and smaller the fact is i do not have time to maintain this while dealing with other projects and work. It was a good run while it lasted and I hope that everyone that played on the game servers had a fun time doing so while it lasted. This kicked off with just a desire to play V Rising and the first iteration got so popular we actually crashed the router and tunnel we where using and had to migrate that, during the time we had our issues like fiber cuts and problems with servers not updating properly but this time the bounce back is just too hard. I always framed this as temporary as the resources being used where just spare resources I had while I was not using them for other projects. To give you a final idea of how much Ram and compute was dedicated to this project in the end we had 224GB of ram dedicated to the virtual machines that ran the game servers and 40 vcpus so not a small amount of spare resources dedicated to running all of this and that is only the game server vm that did not include any of the helper vm that we had. Hopefully everyone had a fun time and i am now signing off.

Issues with the latest version of our server control panel and the future

So there is no way to say this lightly, the control panel we use to control all our servers is messed up due to updates. The panel creators we use to manage everything failed to take into account anything before changing modules around used to launch game servers and this is not the first time they have done this. To be honest with the massive amount of servers we would need to redo and everything and the massive amount of work to relaunch everything its looking like a task not worth the effort. For now what is down is down and what is up is up and we will think over the next week if fixing all this is really worth it. This was always a hobby project running on spare cpu and ram and bandwidth not assigned to other projects at the time and the fact it lasted as long as it did should be noted as it lasted way longer then expected. What i am saying here is that the servers are running and always have been running on borrowed time and with the issues we face now due to the panel provider its looking like more work then is worth it. I will update the post once i know what i am going to do but for now you can expect servers that are down will not likely come back online.
