Hey guys!

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow night in the newbie mix mumble (chi4.tragicservers.com 64737)! We will be having a basic community-building meeting to brainstorm changes and improvements to make for the next generation of mixes. These improvements will be focused much more on getting more players and coaches involved, rather than operational matters like “how we draft”, “should we still use mumble”, etc. That said, we can talk about those things afterwards.

I will be posting this meeting on my YouTube channel for people that miss it. I only say this so that everyone knows ahead of time that it is expected of people to behave themselves throughout the meeting. Uncivilized discourse and personal attacks will lead to a mute for the rest of the meeting, given out by admin discretion.

This meeting is not for us to announce things to you, like many community “meetings” have been in the past. We sincerely want to make newbie mixes as great as we can, and we know we can’t do that by delegating mixes in a purely top-down fashion. PLEASE come prepared to provide feedback, ask constructive questions, and generally help out. We'd really appreciate it. The meeting is expected to start promptly at 9:30PM ET.

Everyone is welcome, and if you want to be an admin in the next iteration of mixes, I would HIGHLY recommend that you either come to this or alert us ahead of time that you won't be able to make it.

You've got to have some experience in comp from somewhere else - it'll get accepted easier then. There's a group for ESEA who are giving people chances to play in open. Forgotten the name unfortunately though.

If you haven't been contacted by your coach yet, I will get that sorted as soon as possible. Sorry for the delay. Your coaches are volunteering their time, and will be contacting you as soon as they get a chance. It will be much smoother when the actual season begins.

If you haven't heard from the grapevine already, we will be having a meeting at 9 est tonight in the newbie mix mumble. At least one person from each team needs to be there. It is highly recommended that everyone that is available goes. Some coaches have also opted to do team-specific meetings directly after the drive-wide one. They will give you more details regarding that.

Your coach will contact you either tonight or tomorrow. I talked with him personally about it. If you need players to round out your roster, you can either find friends yourself, look through tftv, or ask your mentor for help when yours contacts you. You can start with messaging ajax, though!

Your mentors will be contacting you sometime over the next couple days, optimally before tomorrow evening.

I literally said word-for-word not to mark down classes you can't/ aren't willing to play in the OP. I could have found a team for you just fine on something other than scout had you not marked it down.

You can ask around on your team, as ICL reccomended. Sorry, bud

You can still sign up for the team drive to fill in for anyone that may back out last second. I'd also encourage you to actively look for a team on teamfortress.tv if you really want to play.

Also, I swapped the pockets on Team 4 and Team 7. Please check if that affects you. Thanks!
