New Metro Skin for the lateset Steam updates

I have encountered "friends network unreachable" error recently.
I am guessing maybe Steam starts blocking older steam build so you can't cheese with -vgui command anymore.
Here is the alternative I found to get the old Metro Skin-liked look back.

Edit: First update your steam to the newest build (remove steam.cfg file if necessary)

1. Download SFP[github.com] by PhantomGamers (Formerly SteamFriendsPatcher)
2. Run "SFP_UI.exe"
3. Download MetroSteam[github.com] by RoseTheFlower
4. Extract the archive to (\steamui\skins\) folder (Locate with SFP via Open file button)
5. Go to Settings in SFP, pick the skin in Steam skin option.
6. Steam should restart itself with the Metro Skin-liked skin.

I had my steam autostart turned off and have SFP runs at startup and minimized to tray.
Let me know if there is a better way than this.

Due to the lack of updates, sometimes SFP does inject properly into the Steam client and causes the skin not displaying correctly.

I found millennium[steambrew.app] does better job than SFP.

1. Download the latest millennium[steambrew.app] by shdwmtr
2. Extract the files into Steam client folder and restart the client.
3. Download MetroSteam[steambrew.app] by RoseTheFlower via the official site.
4. You will be able update and customize skins in the new added millennium option menu.

This method you can just remove the steam.cfg file and update the steam client to the newest build.

They likely didn't block it intentionally but steam is/has transitioned entirely to chromium which means some older backend things won't work.
