The headless horseman wasn't angry for having no head, but for not having a neck to put it on. He could not look up into the cloudy sky, he could not look on yonder over the grassy fields, and when he came across a dog that could look up, he said to himself...Why? This sent him onto his mad rampage of lobbing off heads, not because of him needing his own, but because of the fact that if he had no neck then No man should... The headless horseman disappeared but his legend lived on.
