[PSA] Is your inventory is suddenly private and you haven't changed anything?

The default inventory privacy setting has recently changed to be more restrictive. Valve pushed a change yesterday that made everyone who had not explicitly listed their inventory as public visible to friends only.

You will need to edit your privacy settings here. Ensure the inventory is set to public, otherwise you will not be able to sell your items on http://backpack.tf and your inventory will not be accessible.

It may take a few minutes to take effect. We tested this on a few accounts and it took about 5 minutes to take effect, so you'll need a bit of patience.

@ Unagi; I agree 100%. This was Restriction was enforced to demote "sharking". When someone uses an InventoryScanner to look up rare/expensive stuff AND deliberately looks for people with few hours game-play in the respective game (TF2 in this case) and tries to trade them since their lack of game-play hours will tell Mr.Shark that they most likely don't know how expensive the item is. This was done to protect people from Scanner Sharks.

It would've been nicer if valve sent us a little popup though telling us about this... like how they do with steam sales, whenever you close a game. Those popups could occasionally be used for message purposes.
