I know many of you really love dressing up for Halloween and other events, but sometimes don't have the time or place to go in order to show off your awesome work! Well, no worries! This year, in honor of the Buddy Brigade's first Halloween together, we're holding a COSTUME CONTEST. *Fanfare*

Now, for the costume contest I have come up with several catagories, as well as several rules to try and make everything fun for everyone!

Catagories will be: Most popular/Most liked, Most Original, and Scariest costumes! The prizes for each of these catagories will be: 100 dollars to the Most Popular, 75 dollars to Most Original, and 50 to the Scariest costume. These will be awarded in either steam money or amazon gift cards! (The gift cards are TBA, I'll let you know ASAP if this is feesible for me).

HOW TO ENTER

Instead of posting your pictures of your fantastic costumes up on the steam page, email them to me at buddybrigade89@gmail.com. At this point, I will create a Buddy Brigade Facebook OR an Album for you guys to access and scroll through the pictures.

HOW TO VOTE

After the deadline, October 20th, three strawpolls will be available for you all to vote for your favorite, the one you think is the most original, and the scariest costumes out of them all! Voting will stop on October 31st at 11am pst. Contest results and winners will be announced later that day!

RULES

1. Costume submissions will be received until October 20th at 11:59pm!
-If you email me your costume after this date and time, you will not be entered into the contest. I'm giving you guys quite a while to get your stuff together! Please don't make me enforce the time limit :(

2. You don't have to make your own costumes, but please try to if you're able to do so!
-It's always fun to see everyone's creativity! Keep in mind as you're voting that the catagory winners should not be chosen based on craftmanship, but the idea behind the costume! Some people I know are regular cosplayers and I don't want them to have an advantage because they're incredible talented ;) (Well, we know ALL buddies are)

3. The winner of one catagory cannot be the winner of any other catagory
-If the same person is voted top for several catagories, the second place winner will receive the prize! If the second place winner is still a winner of another contest, it will be rewarded to third place, and so on!
-The order of this will be: The person who wins Most Popular cannot win Most Original, and the person who wins Most Original cannot win Scariest!

4. Please do not vote for yourself!
-These is no way I can really enforce this, so we're using the honor system! Please vote for someone else you believe to be just as deserving of winning the contest as you are!

5. Please do not use this as a popularity contest
-We always want to see our best of friends win the big prize, but please try to look at the costumes in an object manner and vote for the ones you really believe deserve it, not just your besties because 'they're totes awesome, mang' (I can talk hip lingo too)

6. Please put your Twitch name in some form in your picture for the costume contest. This is a legitmacy standard for everyone. You can write it on your arm, on a piece of paper, or some other means that doesn't clash with your costume! I will most likely photoshop the names out of the photos after the fact before I post them up for voting!

If I find you cheating (submitting images that are not your own) or anything else that I would consider to be cheating, you are removed from the contest.

If we don't get enough contestants (at least 7) I'll give up to 30 dollars worth of steam games to every participant, but the main prizes will be given out if we manage to get more than the 7 participants.
