Maybe the new filter functionality is trying to search through way too many attributes in the ITAD database? If I search through my wishlist of <60 items, I don't understand why the search could possibly take forever.
EDIT: And yes, the site is unbearably slow for me, as well.
And I agree that changing the location of the search was totally unnecessary, although it only took me a few seconds to find it.
Give it a couple of days and you'll get used to it, you have to scroll down to see deals anyway. And central search is coming back.
I know it's slow, I addressed it in the update, I will work on it and hope for improvements in few days.
Search results - it may be because the game is not on sale. Old version automatically included nondeals at the very end of the list, which is not happening now. Try turning on "Show whole catalog, including prices without discount".

It doesn't actually give you that data anymore, there's just a huge list of current bundles that appears to be in no particular order.
I do think that search placement is just about the habit, but I agree that omitting nondeals by default was a bad move. Give me few days to address all the issues that appeared.
@sleepybear - you can save it as a preset and it will be even faster than before, since it will be at the top of the list
to be fair, it is hard to say if there is a "right" move here. Logically you'd only want it shown if a nondeal is better than any active deal. That involves a fair amount of server stress and is open to gaming by vendors.
BTW I think the new site is better overall and much sleeker. There's going to be some growing pains and a lot of rough edges to sort out as with any large change.
Also I think there are some bugs and bottlenecks in the ajax, particularily in manual library syncing.
Go to Amazon, Reddit, Facebook, etc and they all have the search box very close to the top of the page. It's what people are used to so if you're going to have it somewhere different it should be more prominent.
Everything is harder to get to and having all the colored tags on the left makes it harder to see whats going on
The old site was a much cleaner and easier to work with design.
