Petisi dan info tentang Kurs Rupiah IDR di steam

Dear Rekan-rekan,

Seperti yg kita ketahui steam telah membroadcast email ke semua user di Indonesia, bahwa IDR akan di-dukung penuh (fully support) sebagai currency resmi utk melakukan transaksi di steam platform per tanggal 16 Sept.

Dari email itu tertulis bahwa nilai uang yg ada di steam wallet / balance di kanan atas akan langsung dikonversikan ke IDR.
"your U.S. Dollar balance will be converted to Rupiah, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion"

Saya pribadi tidak setuju dengan hal ini. karena akan ada efek2 yg tidak asik bagi kita steam user yg sangat mendambakan tempat memiliki PC games secara legal dan terjangkau (afordable).
1. Pengkonversian membuat kita bisa kehilangan nilai uang dalam USD. Apalagi rupiah jeblok terus dan gap makin besar saja.
2. Akan ada regional prices harga utk regional indonesia yg bisa diset oleh developer. Seperti terjadi di platform Battle.NET-nya Blizard (Starcraft, Diablo, WOW), harga regional mengacu ke SGD yg conversion rate tidak setara adil dgn USD sehingga membuat org Indonesia kl mau beli online harus bayar lebih daripada menggunakan USD.
3. Ada efek psikologis melihat harga2 di steam pakai rupiah dgn 0 yg banyak. Dan kita sulit melihat harga ROW (rest of the world / global) yg fair priced. Hal ini terjadi di platform Desura dan gak enak banget ngeliat-nya.
4. harga annual SALE-SALE bisa kena efek juga jadi sepertinya lebih mahal.
5. Rate konversi yg dianut Steam di konversikan 2x. dr harga asli USD di store page ke IDR utk kita transaksi pake CC (kartu kredit). Lalu dikonversikan kembali ke USD utk bayar Developer. Kalau bayar pakai paypal (dll) lebih parah lagi. Paypal blum mendukung IDR. Jadi bisa kena konversi 2x lagi. Dan ingat tiap konversi nilainya itu naik dan kita sebagai konsumen yg RUGI.
6. Bakal ada Redenominasi. Itu lho ilangin 3 enol (000) di nilai uang. Bakal tambah lagi konversi balance duit kita ke IDR baru.

First and foremost, Im sorry there is no category to fill in this petition. And I cant write this without selecting a product.

I hereby want to express my objections to Local currency convert to my steam wallet balance and the use of regional pricing.

My Country Currency (IDR) sucks bad. It kept on devalue to USD.
Thus by force converting our (indonesian accounts) wallet you can potentially trickle stole our real money value.

I really liked the global pricing of steam. It gives us, Indonesian the answer to our prayers and a strong option to buy legal games. Before you exist we are forced to pirate games. The only 2 option is to buy a pirated copy which is widely available on malls, local stores and online. Or to imported physical PC games from neighboring countries that cost a fortune!

Your digital distribution really give the light to us, people from countries without access to purchase legally. And your annual SALES is pretty darn Amazing!

But alas if you decided to start and enforce using our local currency for doing transactions. If that really happens you practically forced us back to consider buying / torrent pirated copies.

Come on. Please give us the option to stick with global pricing and USD currency.
dont forced us to use our local ♥♥♥♥♥♥ currency.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Indonesian government has consider to re-denominate our currency since 3 years ago.
They want to cut 3 digit zeroes "000" (thousands) from the bill. And that will take effect in approximately 2-3 years from now, pending legislation.
What became to steam wallet balance if that happens ? You would have to re-do the entire converting again. And it is time consuming, un-practical, and just plain stupid isn't it ?

Pretty Please, forward my petition to the right people or department.
