Request: allow all games
Remote play together works great! Tested it with Children of Morta, almost no lag, works perfectly with my friend.
I would love it if the feature is allowed for all games, not only tagged with local coop. My friend and I like to play single player games together via internet. Other streaming solutions are worse than this or don't allow to share input.

Thanks for the great feature, and please expand the use of it to all games :)

It would be perfect with support for all games including non-steam games.

Remote play together is awesome, just too limited.

There are games which can be played with friend, but thay are not in category, because they strictly limited to local multiplayer tag (not even all games with that tag have support as well).

Indeed. They should offer an option to allow any game (Steam or Non-Steam), similar to what they allow people to do with Proton (manual override).

PLEASE DO THIS!
Also add controller switching so you can play multiplayer games together.

Parsec can do this perfectly and is free, and I agree it would be nice.
A lobby browser to find people who stream certain games would be nice too, just like in Parsec.

Valve can you give us an option to override remote play together so even non steam games with the steam overlay can stream and share controls?

I have some local shared screen multiplayer games which i purchased from other stores, the games are also available on steam with remote play together but I do not have the steam version.

I really hope non steam game support will arrive at least at some point, maybe when beta testing is over?

Best regards.

yes parsec is perfect for hosting game, but there is a small problem and it is that parsec is not really for everyone, since to do hosting you have to have a high-end video card compatible with parsec since if you want to host a more common pc, suppose from an intel HD this will not be able to host sending error (and I know that many would say that you buy a better PC but not everyone has the great ease of giving those luxuries), however the compatibility that has steam is very good because you can host from a PC more common (I with parsec for example I can not host games to my girlfriend since the video card is damaged these days, but by steam if I can because of the compatibility it brings), if you know by chance a better method to parsec Well, I'm all ears

Please steam devs add this already.
It should be a straightforward thing to do, just remove/change the check for the "Local Multiplayer" tag.

+1 would love for this to be a thing, been playing through Dark Souls II with a friend and they have a very serious case of arachnophobia and one of the areas is entirely filled with spiders, so would appreciate a more legitimate workaround for this, fairly certain that there are others which desire this.
