Ethernet connection is still the preferred network connection type. Ive never been a fan of wireless for anything other than casual internet browsing fro ma laptop. Any desktop computer in my house is wired, as is my 360 and PS4. I wouldnt game online with wireless connection, so it stands that game-streaming would be even worse. Wired connections are far from dead.
client = zoostorm laptop that I bought for my wife a year or so ago for under £200.
Wifi router Draytek 2820
Played Doom3 last night no problems at all over wifi, couple of issues initially as it tried to load but thereafter sweet as a nut. admittedly I was on;y testing and only played for a few minutes but so far so good.
Client- Surface pro
Router-Netgear WNR2000
Played Wolfenstien TNO flawlessly using 360 controller. Civ 5 worked excellent using touch controls (way better than it used to installed on the surface). Hell even sleeping dogs with hd texture pack ran like a dream =D. Now i can hook up my surface to my tv instead of having to move my tower over to play games (admittedly only really those with controller support =D)
Dá uma olhada se ambos computadores estão operando com 150Mbs, e tenta limitar o FPS no computador de destino, talvez isso ajude. Se precisar de mais ajuda, crie uma discussão nova e poste as configurações detalhadas de cada pc.

Tested:
Binding of Isaac and Diablo 3
Resolution: 1440x900
FPS: 60
Impressions: Games looked great (albeit not quite as high resolution as my desktop which was expected), maintained 60fps throughout and zero lag. There was no packet loss or any stuttering at all despite being on wireless and not on the same floor as my router. I was planning on testing Skyrim, Titanfall, BF4 and a few heavier hitters this weekend, although I was very impressed with the Diablo 3 test particularly. The games felt as smooth as though I were playing them on my desktop which was very nice. I also found that while streaming my laptop wasn't really slowed down at all, I was able to easily multi-task out do whatever, and pop back in with no noticable issues.
Streaming over Wi-Fi is working incredibly well for me. Zero delay, responsive controls, great picture and audio, as if I was there at my desktop computer.
Please take note that my wireless network is using the 5Ghz band. The 2.4Ghz wireless channels are too congested in my area (apartment complex), so I bought a 5Ghz capable router a year ago.
My thought is this: if you're trying to stream over your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi connection, set your router to a less congested 2.4Ghz channel—especially if you're in an apartment complex or college dorms, as the majority of your neighbors are sharing the same 2.4Ghz spectrum with you. If changing 2.4Ghz router channels doesn't alleviate the issue, I highly advise buying a 5Ghz capable router and using that. It was the best router investment I've made. Streaming is flawless in Steam "Homestream". Other streaming activities like NHL Gamecenter, movies, etc., used to be very, very poor when I was on the 2.4Ghz band even with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Wi-Fi signal strength shown by your devices, like your laptop, does not take into account neighboring interference and any packet retransmissions.

Results -
-- Sometimes a warning of slow decode but it's going away in a couple of seconds
-- Mouse/Controller worked in all games
-- All games have the same results : Playable, but sometimes a little bit laggy because of "Slow internet"(720P HD,~50-60FPS)(E.G : Bioshock Infinite and Payday 2)
-- Kinda weird i need to restart the stream to fix the Slow internet because it won't fix itself.(Shutdown the stream with Task)
I'm happy with this new feature finnaly we can play games on a Low end PC instead of wasting more money to buy one( although you need atleast one :P) but it has a long way to go to call it "Good".

I have only tried Bit.Trip 2, Child of Light, and Family Guy Road to The Multiverse.
I noticed Child of Light had some slight jutter now and then, but the majority of the time it's 60fps held up just fine. Might try it wired to see if that jutter goes away at all. But it's rare and now and then...
(I did have an issue with a Portal 2 crashing, but nothing other than that.)
Laptop #1: Core i7 + GeForce GT 630M on 802.11n WIFI
Laptop #2: Core 2 Duo + GeForce 8600M GS on 1Gbps Ethernet
Streaming from desktop to both laptops works without any lost packets or frames at 1080p 60 FPS perfectly.
Streaming from laptop #1 to desktop and the other laptop works without any lost packets or frames at 1600x900 60 FPS perfectly.
Client Dell i3 Laptop
Router - Buffalo N300
Worked flawlessly playing Mortal Kombat Komplete with Xbox 360 controller.
I have a power line connection to the media center but didn't test ethernet.
