We have gotten lots of great feedback and plan to make a few improvements before the next wave of beta invites. This will probably happen late next week or early the following week.

Beta invitations are selected randomly from members of this group and sent via e-mail to the address associated with your Steam account. Posting in this thread will have absolutely no bearing on whether you will be invited. :)

As a beta tester I just want to say I was extremely surprised so far with this. I was able to play dayz on my macbook pro. Keep up the good work

@slouken why did i receive an invite for this beta? i wasnt even in the group neither have a steam machine.... streaming from my PC to my laptop or vice-versa doesn't seem to helpfull, i guess that's not the idea

How do we know if we've been invited? Do we recieve an E-mail, or a notification on steam?

slouken why don't you just make it an OPEN BETA Because so many people want it(Incuding me) a modified open beta. you make a new thread and people comment on it to get into the beta.
If you can tell me why this cant happen, much appreciated.

Also, sorry for asking if you take this as asking to be invited!

I received false invite, apparently it had the streaming invite text, but it was actually a family sharing invite. sign me up for the meta if possible

Cannot wait to try this 'i have been using splashtop to stream to my tablet the last few months , Skyrim with enb mods on a 7 inch dualcore chinnese tablet haha,it was actually playable .I assume this is much better than splashtop, it be really cool if you developed a steam app with streaming functions for android .

@straylight thats the invite i've received (Family Sharing Beta) and i can use the home stream feature
