"Unexpected EOF" error

I'm trying to stream from Windows 7 to a Mac Mini (OS X 10.7.5). I tried both Civ V and State of Decay. I did the simple stuff - re-installing Steam on both machines, re-opting into the beta, etc. But my technical expertise ends with "Is the machine plugged in and turned on?"

I'm getting the same "quit unexpectedly (2)" error that everyone else is and my log file is saying this:

Any help would be much appreciated!

Does the timestamp on the EOF message correspond to launching a streaming game? If you do it multiple times in a row, do you get multiple entries of that message?

Do you get the error message if you shut down steam, remove your userdata folder in $HOME/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata, and then restart Steam on your Mac?

This will wipe your settings, so make sure you re-enable things that you had set afterward.
