Audio Lag
I dont notice any lag in the video or controls, just the audio "shuttering". Very annyoing.

Specs Host:
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Nvidia GTX 680 2GB
Intel core i7 3770k 3.5Ghz
32 GB RAM

Specs Client (Laptop):
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Nvidia 740M or something
A mobile i7 ~2.5Ghz
8 GB RAM

I stream in 1080p and everything is wired connected with cat.6 cables through a top notch Linksys router.

Any recommendations?

If you go to advanced speaker properties, what audio rate do you see? Does the problem go away if you switch it to 48000 Hz?

Playback devices > Speaker Properties > Advanced, on the Host computer? The settings were set on 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality).

I don't have access to the Client right now, but I am assuming it's set on the same values as standard (?). In any case - I can not try this tonight, I will get back to this thread tomorrown evening hopefully!

Thanks for responding.

I had the similar issue, the host was set to CD Quality 44100 while the client was at 48000 Studio Quality. Synchronizing them fixed the issue. This should be added to the troubleshooting page.

Are you still having this issue if you set the host to 44100 and the client to 48000?

Sorry for not replying. Haven't had time to fiddle around in the living room. When I do 48000Hz on client and 44100Hz on Host there is not sound at all, apparently they need to be the same. When they are the same, the audio lag bug is still present.

Also, the Steam big picture mode lagged enormously this time around on the client computer, completely impossible to navigate. Not sure what that is all about, guessing it's big picture -related as the laptop is three months old.

There are two new issues every time I try it, but that's the way of betas and being developed. I am gonna lay low for awhile and try again in two months or so.
