In-Home Streaming with joystick
Hey there,

I recently bought Elite - Dangerous and now I want to play it in the living room because there we have a TV that is much larger then my computer screen. I added the game to my steam library and it is working fine so far, except of the joystick support. I can use keybord and mouse as well as gamepads, but the joystick don't work if I have it connected to the remote PC (but I can select it if it is connected to my host pc). Any idea how to solve that?

kind regards

The streaming feature supports gamepads and XInput devices. You can use the Big Picture controller settings to set up your joystick as a gamepad, but otherwise it isn't currently supported.

Skalibran you saying when in game and you go to controller settings you dont have the option to select joystick as your controller for Elite Dangerous when using steam streaming ? I got the Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS and havn't tested it myself yet with steam streaming.

Ok yeah just tested it doesnt work client side. I honestly hope proper support is implemented to detect joysticks especially with the resurgence of space combat/flight sims incoming.

Hi, I have the same issue as you, old topic but seems that the problem isn't solved yet :(

And me too. I'd like to stream Ace Combat 7 and play with a T.Hotas flight stick.
It is a known problem for more than 6 years now and I would have really hoped for improvements on this end.

This is something that can do the job, but it's quite expensive :

There is a demo version, but I couldn't try it for my X-56, because it has 2 USB connections (1 for the joystick, 1 for the throttle), when the demo only allows us to try with one device.
