Dedicated Battlefield 2: Heat of Battle mod' server

My idea was to make multiplayer simple, where it is also possible to use BF2Hub and play in normal online servers. Feel free to join if not just for the custom' standalone mod' and check out the discussion "Setting up the Game Client" under the topic "Configuration".

The server's closest geographic location is Manchester, England, United Kingdom, and when at capacity will host 28 players with a 32-player map size, until such a time, 16 players with a 16-player map size. There will be additionally 6 AI players @74.6% difficulty to maintain gameplay pace, although I'll host some AI games in the meantime anyway.

I provide all the base game files with a standalone Heat of Battle mod' version and the 32-player maps that support co-op mode. A unique Battlefield 2 serial number is required to join the server which can be easily installed if it is not already. Without a serial number it is not possible to connect to the server, although the game mod' can be played in offline mode.

Mod DB hosts all the original source files for Heat of Battle mod', which I've downloaded and then optimised to create a multiplayer server. Every .ZIP file in the game has been custom' re-compressed for lower latency, and the framerate cap lifted from 100 to 280 by default. It's ended up as a hybrid of the base game with the mod' itself, augmented with the standalone version of the mod'.
