Contributors collecting all their fixes in one place.

Valve's GreenMarine informed Zoolooman that Valve will probably only take fixes to hats with permission from the original contributors.

We have multiple fixes for hat painting alphas and phong lighting. We also have retextures from some of the original contributors.

The point of this group is to collect all those fixes and contribution updates in one place so that we can submit it to Valve in one big bunch.

If you want to give us permission to fix alphas or if you want to update your contributions, join this group. Together, we'll get some attention.

I'm starting a dialogue with the TF team today to figure out what we need to make sure these get in game. Part of the problem with hat paintability has been a confusing process of migrating assets from our internal development snapshot of the game (called "staging") to the pre-release snapshot of the game (called "rel"). We also want to have a public set of tools in place so people can manage and subject changes to their assets that can go directly into updates with minimal oversight. That's probably a few months off, so we're looking into what we can do in the short term to get these hat visual changes in.

Oh, Knuckle convinced me to retouch the red texture a little bit. It is a little too pink. It looks better now. I'm going to reupload it to tf2mods.net . Don't use the old version.
