Hurr they are obviously going to add dragons that chase you, like in rayman legends.

Uh... Yeah rayman legends + geometry dash = total epicness. But I don't think it'll be something like enemies, bosses or races, because these are imprecise actions, they get physics and probabilities involved, but geometry dash can't run on probabilities, otherwise its not a square rhythm platformer. Its possible, but source of errors. Too early to pretend that. It could be a deco feature, like you can draw masks and paths to create decorative forms like dragons. The invasion could be just to get people excited. There is a theory which tells that WIP stands for Waterflame Invaders Project (something like that).
I'm not sure of anything I'm excited for steam version, these hints are killing me...

Anyone noticed the monster like figure at the end of ToE II? Maybe it means something. I'm pretty sure the next level will be dragon themed, like dragon force.

It is actually a secret coin. Scroll through the level selection menu 3 times, and on the third time as you are on the Coming Soon! page there will be a secret coin. You will unlock the achievement "Master Detective" as well as a free color.

I don't know, but it has to be something really big , because he managed it since 1.9 (info message on the Coming Soon! page, and dragon on the ToE 2 level), which was a big update. Maybe a key frame system? (but that would mean he would have had the idea since he saw people were using color channels as animation key frames, and that wouldn't fit with the big update managed since 1.9).
Many rumors say that the upcoming song is Invaders by Waterflame.
I was also wondering... Is it something about the more advanced account system? Will there be a real interaction between user, like a Geometry Dash Facebook, with Message system, sharing, and all these stuff?
Geometry Dash is becoming a bigger game at each update. Surely it will one day become as complex as other PC games, but simple at the same time, because it's a one-touch game.
Waiting for the next hint in the next few weeks, or next few days... (talking about Christmas... maybe a hint present?)

I am personally disappointed and disgusted. I don't like Mario, and here we are, we are merging already existing boring known games with geometry dash. I thought it would be original, but nah, it takes Mario background, Mario grass, Mario ugly icon, and puts some tiny dragons as spikes. Nothing new. Rob shouldn't force itself to make new updates if he doesn't feel that inspiration. Maybe he does, in that case, I wait for the final version.

Now, look at the end of Theory of Everything 2. There is a dragon.
Now, look at the "Invasion has begun" hint. There are a lot of dragons.
Now, look at the newest hint of 2.0. What does this all mean???
