Games Matter is an independent studio creating video games as works of interactive expression. Through storytelling, visual language and the choices we place in players’ hands, we explore human experiences, evoke deep emotions and offer perspectives on the world we share.

Our creative interests connect the intimate and the political: identity and belonging, freedom and inequality, personal relationships and the structures of power that shape them. We approach complex and sensitive subjects with care, conviction and a willingness to ask difficult questions, whether through direct encounters with reality or the possibilities of metaphor and imagined worlds.

Human dignity, equality and self-determination are central to our work. We are interested in challenging inherited roles, making space for overlooked voices and exploring how people can resist the expectations that constrain their lives. We seek to create experiences that invite empathy, encourage independent thought and leave room for players to form their own interpretations.

We believe interactive works can stay with us long after we stop playing, changing how we understand ourselves and one another.

That belief is why we are Games Matter.
