I am 13 years old. Granted, I look 16 and act 25 but, I am 13. As soon as I could walk and mimic, my dad was teaching me choke holds. Once I learned that sharp objects hurt people, he was teaching me where the major arteries are and to twist before you take it out and to ALWAYS take it out. When I learned how to use my inside voice, he taught me to scream "fire" instead of "help" because people only care about themselves and they won't look unless you say fire. When I started rebelling, he still taught me that I have a choice even with a gun to my head and by God, I better choose to always keep fighting. When I was confident enough to answer the door, he taught me to keep it locked until I knew I was safe. When I started having panic attacks, he taught me that my gut was more reliable than my head.
