A World Reborn mod, I cannot use Blitz at all so I am stuck
So I am currently streaming A World Reborn on twitch/youtube. I installed the combo pack that says it is "best of both worlds" for nostalgia or new stuff.

I am at the part where you fight vargus. When sabin jumps in I pick Blitz and nothing comes up on the screen at all. I press Left Right Left for his basic Blitz and nothing happens. It says incorrect Blitz input.

No tutorial or menu or anything comes up. I click Blitz and nothing happens. It doesn't like like when other people have shown it on youtube for the port. I can record video if needed.

Any ideas?

Hey there. Are you using the Atma weapon installer or the older A World Reborn installation files? Also, feel free to join us on the VG Research and Modding Discord: https://discord.gg/VF6dJsC

Hey, the problem is that the input command is far less accurate in the pc port than others; the removal of the ui inputs is a design choice to mimic the original but you can download the manual installations and use an additional patch called sabins alternate UI blitz, which will give you visual prompts for blitz inputs. This hasn't been implemented in atmaweapon yet, but will be soon!

Shouldn't we make that default for all bundles in Atma Weapon?

I am using the files on the mod site:
https://www.moddb.com/mods/final-fantasy-vi-a-world-reborn/downloads/final-fantasy-vi-awrnos-hybrid-mix

Now I actually did get Blitz to work and progress in the game but there is no visual feedback of any kind so Sabin is kinda useless now and I have been just having him use basic attacks. I just ran the patcher included in the install files. I don't know if that is how it is supposed to look or not.

We are going to add the Alternate Blitz UI mod as the default for all mod bundles including A World Reborn in order to fix this issue, but this only affects the Atma Weapon installation in the future.

In order to fix this on your end now, do the following if you could:

1. Uninstall FF6
2. Delete the folder manually that is potentially left over
3. Redownload FF6 from Steam
4. Install Atma Weapon from here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/final-fantasy-vi-a-world-reborn/news/project-atmaweapon
5. Open the urls.ini that comes with Atma Weapon, and download the 7z for the alternate blitz UI, and extract it into the FF6 folder directly.
6. Put the game in windowed mode via the standard FF6 launcher.
7. Install the Resolution Fix from the moddb page as well (choose the largest resolution that fits within your native resolution). This is a great fix which removes the shimmer, but hasn't been added to Atma Weapon yet. Please follow the readme exactly, and don't accidentally mod the "data" file (which is your save file. back it up just in case).
8. Run the Pseudo-Fullscreen fix before starting FF6, if you'd like a full-screen effect.

Steps 6-8 are not necessary, but are extremely recommended in order to have less eye bleed when moving.

Again, if you have any issues, feel free to join our discord, and we'll help you troubleshoot :)

Was this fixed? Using the atma installer. The .ini contains two different blitz UI
SABINS_CHI_ALTERNATE_BLITZ_UI and
ALTERNATIVE_MINIMALIST_BLITZ_UI

Ah the Atma Weapon installer on moddb is over a year old at this point. You can grab the newest version of Atma Weapon always from here now (until the moddb page has been updated): https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=591798883

There is alot of activity in our discord and a bunch of releases since then. We just didn't get a chance to add them to atma yet. Here is the link if you'd like to join :D : https://discordapp.com/channels/371784427162042368/422075417202130944/538177917738418187

I already joined. Posting here so people can use google in the future.
The discord is nice and all but it still isn't helpful in knowing if the issue still persists or how to properly fix it.
And about what mod corresponds to the one named on the guide; there is no information. There are two mods with the word "blitz" and none has the name of the mod mentioned on the guide. Additional, none has te name of the blitz mods posted in releases and tools, and since the ini includes no screenshots or descriptions, there is no way to know what does what.

The installer is open source. Contributions are welcome. The only mods that exist are visual ones. The only known issue with blitz currently is that the game has inherent latency, which requires inputting the commands very slowly. There is currently no mod to fix this.

This thread was regarding a bug that existed in the mod, where the arrows would not appear at all. This has been fixed.

Many many thanks!
In what language is the installer coded?
And where can I find it? (the source code)
Saftle May 14, 2020 @ 12:28am
Here is the latest source (the updated builds only have a replaced urls.ini where the installer itself wasn't changed): https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/518328086391947269/573762270144757760/Atma_Weapon_Source_Files_2019-05-03.7z

It is built with Advanced Installer Enterprise.

A shame :C
I don't have access to a modern version of that program and it's absurdly expensive!
If you guys ever need a C# coder, hit me up :)
