Armada 2526 PBEM game 1.4

There is a thread in the Multiplayer Lounge, but just posting this here to try and get more players, then you can delete this.

Currently we have 3 players lined up, and hoping for at least 5+. Ideally, I would like to start this by next week, or as soon as we get enough players.

The game will take weeks to months to play, depending on the settings and how quicky ppl take their turns, so I ask you to make sure you're ok with the commitment. I also would like everyone to be able to check in at least once a day if possible. Obviously there will be times where you can't, so just make sure you let us know.

Settings are TBD. Main goal is for everyone to have fun. Let me know if you are interested.

I take it you want to play since you gave out your email? What race did you want, Grey Order?

So I went into the multiplayer settings as suggested and entered my email. It says to enter a password. Am I actually entering my gmail password, or am I creating a unique password I have to enter for the PBEM?

I'm pretty sure it's your gmail password. At least thats what I've used before. If i'm wrong someone let me know.

it works like this....

There is an email slot and password spot

This is so the app can SEND emails and RECEIVE them. The app, just like any email app (like Thunderbird or w/e) needs this information to connect, send and receive mails.

• Enter your Email and Password for your email account here.

There is a 2nd email area, that only takes an address

This is an "announcement" email address. The game will be sending and receiving heaps of mails, like TONS of them. This will clog up your inbox and be a pain in the butt. So, you can enter your personal email here and when it is your turn it will send an email to this account. This way you can monitor your normal email and not receive tons of spam, as you will only get 1 email per turn.

• Use a free email service like Gmail and make a email address for the OTHER section. This will be used to send and receive turns. This way you are not giving out your private email to everyone playing the game or putting your private password into a insecure application.
• Put your private email that you check normally everyday on your phone or w/e into the 2nd slot. This email is never shared and you do not use any passwords. Your new public email will "announce" to this mail and you will receive a single "it is your turn mail" at this address.

@BigPerm - Have you tried contacting Mezmonki? This is one of his fav games... I haven't seen him about much anymore.. but I think he may like to play.

I have not. I don't have him on my friends list so I can't message him. I sent him a request, but if any have him on your friends then feel free to ask.

Also, what Turn Limit were yout thinking about?

No problem. It's not that big of a deal, all it does is send that address an e-mail each turn. So if you receive a lot of emails then a dedicated gmail account would probably work best.

Quick Q - I have a really old installation of this, probably from Impluse/Gamestop App. Splash screen says 1.0.4.0, is that current?
