Your description is spot on. The elegant simplification of the spreadsheety stuff is one of the reasons I like it so much.
EVERY thing done in this game is innovative, nothing is done as in any other grand strategy game.
Underrated lil classic. Everything is thought thru and streamlined for faster playing, but
many decisions need to be taken each turn by the player. Meaningful decisions.
I am getting sicker and sicker of "pay $20 to be able to press a button, sometimes" Paradox.
