L4D2 News - 8 Player Coop #1 & #3 - Bugged Plugin = Default 4 Player Switch :(

Just a heads up to our L4D2 players, we had to switch the Coop #1 and #3 to regular 4 Player settings, cuz after a Fall L4D2 Update (i believe it was the FOV setting fix, but not 100% sure) the player controls for the SuperVersus plugin doesnt seem to wanna work from a Linux Dedicated Server, although luckily it is currently loading enough to still make most of the options and/or controls work, so everything except for the + players in coop still works on our DG Coop servers, everything still works from Windows for now.
(like the !pickbot and !csm functions)

If we can get it fixed or set up again with a different set of SourceMod Plugins, then we will set them back up as 8 player Coop, till then at least we can still play the default 4 player style L4D2, but with better / fixed options and settings and with friends on custom campaigns in coop and realism.
(which most of the options we added probably should have been default options included in L4D2 at launch. . . ugh lol)

We also updated the Fatal Freight map to the Remastered version by the original Dev, and the Haunted Forest Authors version, which is a finished version by the original Dev as well, the maps increased in size a bit but still great campaigns that run perfect now!

Saturday May 1: Double the Experience on zHell #2 RPG

This event will be 24 hours long. Players will receive 2x the normal experience on the ZombieHeLL #2 RPG server.

The event will start the weekend of Saturday May 1st at:

PST - 6:00 AM
MST - 7:00 AM
CST - 8:00 AM
EST - 9:00 AM

Experience:

10 exp for knife kill (no change)
6 exp for head-shot kill
2 exp for normal kills

[h1]Heads up for our L4D2 Friends / Players[/h1]

unfortunately there seems to have been a bug in the Superversus plugin we use to make 8 player coop work since mid 2021

- the bug seems to be with the Linux Version of the dedicated server, but Windows versions still work fine -

so unfortunately we had to set our two DG 8 Player Coop #1 and #3 servers back to run original 4 player coop settings like the Coop #2 Default has always been / still is running


***** hopefully someone will come around to fixing the plugin for Linux, and once it is we'll get the update and get everything set back up for 8 player coop again, until then sry for the inconvenience guys and gals, and i know how much of a bummer it is as well being an avid L4D fan myself :health:

hey good to see ya tension, the summer time is usually slower cuz theres stuff to do but im sure youll catch someone shooting somethin on CS, or if your into L4D2 we started a few servers too

For any Left 4 Dead 2 players we've noticed recently that you can no longer invite people from your friends list into a L4D2 Coop Match with more than 4 players (ugh L4D2 lately) or any match with more than the standard number of players

So if your playing on the 8 player coop servers and there are 4 players connected then the last 4 will have to click Steam Group Servers on the main menu of L4D2 and join from there to fill the 5th-8th player slots, using invites doesnt work anymore it seems :rfacepalm: lol

sry about that Prophet i had some graphics card issues for a little while, but we got the extra survivors plugin installed and running so all 8 survivors should spawn together on Coop #1, and we put it on the Coop #2 for shits and giggles ;D so you can type !csm
although theres some problems with the l4d2 chars on the l4d1 campaigns so please let us know if theres any issues, of course i will be testing as well.
