Following our announcement of Catherine 'CAth' Leroux parting ways with our female Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup, we are glad to announce our new member who will be taking over. Joining our lineup is Kiara 'Milk' Makua from the United States who's looking to bring a fresh wind to the team.

In our latest Team Dignitas interview we return to Mounira "GooseBreeder" Dobie. Currently the top fragger for the team sitting at a whopping 1.54 HLTV Rating. With 2017 coming soon to a close we discussed the team's plans for the upcoming quarter (1Q 2018), the re-introduction of Dust 2 and China's CS:GO Perfect World. Here is what Goosebreeder had to say.

The team has enjoyed its time as one of best female teams out there, proving once more by winning the GIRLGAMER esports festival. What are your upcoming plans in terms of CS:GO tournament?

What about the team? What are the plans for the team for the upcoming future in sense of what you want to achieve?

Our goal has been the same for quite some time now, we'd like to move up a league on ESEA; we want to be good enough to not just dominate female tournaments but to bring that same fire to the mixed tournaments we play in. Our plans to achieve that is just a lot of hard work; practice 5-6 times a week with "homework" everyone has to do in their own time (DMs, demo reviews, movement practice & simply just putting time into getting better as individuals outside of team practice).

Recently Team Dignitas made two new additions to the CS:GO roster. Asger "AcilioN" Larsen and Christian "loWel" Antoran replacing Tenzki and Cromen. As explained by our coach Morten "zEVES" Vollan in the previous interview, loWel was added to bring more mature communication which is highly valued by the roster and AcilioN as the new permanent and experienced in-game leader.

Having experience in in-game leading on Tricked Gaming, Splyce, and SK Gaming, Acilion brings much needed leadership which was costing specifically Rubino his firepower. Under Acilion the team wishes to become more strategic with their approach to the game and in the short time that has passed since the official arrival of the two new players we have seen positive changes in terms of the approach to the game and mid-game tactics. Without further ado here is what Acilion had to say about in-game leading, the major qualifiers, and some other CS:GO and team-related matters.


We’ll jump straight into it. Welcome to Team Dignitas, you are one of the two new additions to the roster and a very needed addition in the form of leadership. Why did you originally start in-game leading?

Thanks a lot! I have always been a big fan of the tactical aspect of Counter-Strike and on almost every team I've been on I was either the in-game leader or the second in-game leader. So to take the step again and be the in-game leader has been really easy for me.

For the less acquainted fans, as an in-game leader, what do you do both in-game and out of it?

Inside the game, I'm the one controlling how we are going to play. I'm the one who's finding new tactics, new ways of approaching our defaults and at the same time I'm thinking about how the other team is going to play and what kind of tactic is good to run in that certain round.

You also have to prepare your team meaning that you have to look at the other team and what they are doing. You also have to figure out the veto process. What map are they going to ban? What map are we going to ban? What should we pick? etc. Another really important thing to do is making a game plan. So, what we are doing in pistol rounds and what kind of tactics would work well against the other team.

Outside the game I'm always trying to talk with my teammates and figure out they think we should change and what they think we could do better. Something that I'm trying to work really hard on and something I think is really important is being a good leader regardless of it being outside or inside the game.

As an in-game leader, what kind of advice could you give a young aspiring IGL?

This is a really hard question because I think there's so many things you have to learn when becoming an IGL. But the best advice I could give would be work really hard. Always be critical towards yourself and try to improve. Watch your own demos and other top team’s demos and try to find your own playstyle. When you have achieved that, be confident. The more confident you are, the more confidence your teammates will get.

What is something that you believe most people (viewers/fans) do not realise about in-game leading?

I think people don't realise how much an in-game leader have to do while you are playing a game. He has to micromanage all the time in order for your tactics to work and that will resolve in the in-game leader to lose focus on fragging.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) has taken the esports scene by storm. As one of the fastest growing competitive games, with record-breaking numbers, PUBG is just scratching the surface of what is to come. As Team Dignitas looks to stay on the forefront of esports, today we're proud to announce the addition of our PUBG team.

The team is formed around in-game leader Peter "suntouch" Logan from the UK, a former professional SMITE player of four years that competed for Team Dignitas, along with SK Gaming and Cloud9. Most recently, suntouch started his streaming career with Team Dignitas. Along with his duo partner and incoming Team Dignitas member, UK player Florian "Liquidz" Bruyere, suntouch held Rank 1 on several occasions. Additionally, he and duo partner Liquidz simultaneously owned the Rank 1 & 2 positions in North America and Europe. Liquidz is a former professional SMITE console player who competed at the first SMITE World Championship, taking home 3rd-4th place.

Also joining the team is Czech Republic player Martin "spajKK" Beneš. He competed in the PUBG GamesCom Invitational and was part of the only duo team to qualify for both the FPP and 3PP tournaments. He eventually placed 4th in the main event.

The team is rounded out by Asger "ZiphoN" Storgaard Høffner from Denmark. ZiphoN has accumulated a number of PUBG achievements over recent months, including Rank 4 EU Squads Season 3, Rank 2 Duos EU Season 4, multiple wins in PUBG Online (June, July, August) and first place in an Xpulz tournament.

In-game leader suntouch offered the following thoughts about the new squad:

"I've been with Dignitas for almost 2 years now and it's a great pleasure to be representing them in PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. Since quitting competitive Smite in November last year, I have been itching to compete and train again. The team I have assembled is full of exciting players who all have potential to make this one of the best PUBG teams in the world. We will be training hard and looking to take home some trophies so please support us."

Team Dignitas President & founder, Michael "ODEE" O'Dell, who has been faithfully playing and exploring the PUBG scene throughout the past months, shared his excitement for the team and game's future:

"We're excited to welcome back suntouch to a professional player role and are confident in the team he's formed to compete in PUBG. Their results thus far have been impressive and demonstrate great promise for the future. We at Team Dignitas have always looked to support cutting-edge esports titles with massive growth potential and are excited to do the same for PUBG."

Team Dignitas PUBG will be competing in all available major competitions including Auzom Premier League for Squads, Curse Trials for duos and seeking a spot in the $200,000 IEM Oakland Invitational.

This time around we had a chance to speak with our CS:GO coach Morten "zEVES" Vollan. As a coach he brings leadership and structure along with the addition of new in-game leader AcilioN. He also supports the team in any way possible which is important for a new roster. We spoke with zEVES about the recent changes to the lineup, his time as a coach and some of the recent CS:GO updates.

The team recently made two new additions in the forms of Lowel and Acilion. How did the decision of removing Tenzki and Cromen come about?

We decided to make changes mainly because we needed an in game-leader with experience. Ruben did very well leading us, but he has a mind with way too many thoughts and ideas so that resulted in a dip of his individual performance. When Ruben plays his role he is one of the best in his respective position. This is why we decided to bring in the Danish youngster AcilioN. He had experience leading before and he has played under some huge respected in game-leaders in Denmark.

There was a lot of back and forth about removing Cromen or not because he is so talented with a huge skill ceiling. He never complained about his role or where we put him because he knew coming into this team that he will have to impress us under stressful situations and handling it to his very best. Huge talent, but in my book, communication is the key to success. Jørgen had problems taking the initiative (something that was really important within his role) and communicate in high pressure situations. These are some of the reasons why we ended up bringing in loWel. Christian has a lot of experience with international teams from his time in Penta and mousesports and his communication is top-notch - something we really need.

What kind of switch up can we expect from the team with the new additions? Will the team continue trying to play a looser style or will it become more rigid and tactical?

Under the leadership of AcilioN you will see a much more structured team and also more composed, something Asger and I see eye to eye on. We have already started working on the tactical aspect, something we lacked with the previous team.

Moving on to you. Tell us, how did you get involved with Team Dignitas and what went into your decision making when you decided to switch from playing to coaching?

After my time ended with LGB eSports and Copenhagen Wolves, I decided to take a break but that was not for long. After two months I decided to make a team with four young talented players from Norway because we have so many talents but not enough leaders to guide them. We did pretty well, but it also ends there. We played for over a year together dominating the Norwegian scene but that was it. After a disappointing loss at Copenhagen Games I talked with my former boss, Nikolaj Nyholm (rfrsh entertainment), that I wanted to quit and try something else. I talked a lot with Ruben at that time and I asked him if they were in need of a coach and he said yes. I am 26 now and I simply did not find the motivation and drive within me to continue playing when you somewhat knew that it was never going to amount to more than just dominating the Norwegian scene.
