Thank you!
I agree with this person. Unless you submit a five paragraph essay for your character bio, you won't get in. I can tell you from experience that this isn't a good thing. Some people enjoy writing a long backstory before they even speak/act once as that character, and that is fine.
You also have to think of people that make a concept, play their character, and make up their story as they go. That personally is the most fun I've had with RP.
Whether be in a table-top or a modern video game.
Hey @Doctor Feels,
character essays are absolutely irrelevant to the application process. There isn't even a question asking for any :)
We don't force people into creating character backstories and you don't have to write one for your application. People who have their application accepted know what DUG stands for, want to join the community and actively contribute. Your application should simply reflect your dedication and commitment, specific to the community.
In your case, answers such as "I will defiantly contribute to the community. I've been looking for a good server to roleplay on for a while now. I'll play regularly and try to make a lasting impression on the server." are just too generic and do not give us enough information or confidence in a judgement. You are however of course welcome to re-apply.
@The Handsome Arrow While we have no definite age limit, we very, very rarley accept people younger than 17. Our average member is between 25 and 35 and in the application form we're making it clear that DUG is a community primarily for adults. 14 is too young for comfort, especially if we have no contact to a guardian.
Thanks to the server schedule you are however welcome to play when the DUG US/EU server are set to public.
