[SOLVED] Password for the server?

There are so many different posts around I can't find one clear place that tells me what is going on. Why was I able to play on one of the DayzUnderground servers yesterday and a few days prior but, today, it needs a password? At least it forced me to register here etc but I should be able to still play on that server without a password right? What happened?

The DUG community servers have a preset schedule of open and whitelisted times. The schedules can be found on our website, here: http://www.dayzunderground.com/servers/

After they allow me access again will my character still be there? or does my character get wiped during these events?

characters are only really at risk of being wiped on major updates, and even then it's hit or miss depending on the server
DUG never wipes without announcement

The server itself and your characters remain entirely untouched! The scheduled profiles only control who has access. You can apply via www.dayzunderground.com to join the community and get whitelisted.
