Some games that I like.

The purpose of this group is to curate games that I like and offer recommendations to people who feel their tastes might meet mine on a Venn Diagram. Long-form reviews on my personal website[davidyat.es] are provided for a few games recommended.

The types of games I enjoy can be broadly characterised by these statements:
* Games that tell a good story, or games that allow me to build and manage a town/city/movie studio/country, preferably without having to fight anyone. I don't think I've encountered a game that does both, although in a broad sense Lionhead's The Movies comes close.
* Single-player over multiplayer. Co-operative over competitive. Informal competitive with short game rounds over anything resembling DoTA.
* Favouring independent, low-budget games made by a couple of people over slick triple-A, design-by-committee output. Now, many of my favourite games are AAA products and I don't dislike them on principle, but there's something about the rough and quirky style of indie output that really appeals to my sensibilities.
