PAYDAY masks pack DLC 1: A community DLC

For the longest time it wasn't an option to add new content to the game. This summer I decided to spend some time to figure out how to add new content and the result is this community DLC. It's more of a proof of concept so it mainly uses masks from PAYDAY 2 that already came in a set of 4 and was a nice way to see what was needed to port things from that game. However, you do need the game in your library to use it because I don't want to deal with licensing issues for this.

Release 1.15 adds a mod that loads the DLC and allows you to use the masks online. People that do not have the same mod or assets will see one of the game's standard masks, but people that do can see you use the masks like it is an official mask.

Installation

Installation for this is a bit different. Since I don't have any tools for it, you'll need to replace some of the game's assets. Copy everything in the assets folder in the zip to the assets folder in the game. See the instructions to install the main mod, it's in the same place. You'll be asked to replace 3 files. This is a limitation the game has and would normally be handled by custom tools, but there are none that support this yet. Unfortunately this means some custom assets replaced with Bundle Modder will have to be re-applied. To make sure everything works correctly, it's best to validate your game files, then replace them with the assets from this DLC and finally use Bundle Modder (or alike) again to make the replacements.

It only adds files, so if you remove the corresponding Lua mod it won't load. But you can verify your game files to restore the database to its original state if you want that for some reason.

wanted to use this as reference to add my own assets, but unfortunately the bundle contents are hashed, is there a hashlist that exists to unhash these?

Good luck with adding new assets, if you manage to get it done you could share some findings I suppose.

Anyway, to answer your question, DorentuZ has at some point added paths to the custom assets found in this pack to a repository ( https://github.com/Luffyyy/PAYDAY-2-Hashlist ) which also holds an updated hashlist of all paths found in both payday games (and also RAID if I'm not mistaken), so that should be what you're looking for.

These are wonderful. I am a huge fan of the idea of new content into the game, especially masks. I hope there is another pack in the future. Huge props to the dev team for this.

Go into your PD:TH logs folder. Open main.log and search for "MP1" if there are any errors or it is loaded at all.

I'd say verify your game files and then download the mask pack again.

Was there nothing unusual in the log file?
