Alright everyone, the only thing stopping us from having a squad-based organization is the Roster System. The Roster System is also what stalled promotions in the last incarnations of |KTM|. With the Roster System finished, promotions will only take a click of a button, and we can have promotions as often as necessary (with the one-week restriction on promotions for individuals after their last promotion of course).

What we need to finish for the Roster System:

I am heading to school to rewrite a paper, I may or may not be on tonight.

Alright everyone, I have SourceMod working with MySQL. I have not yet set it up on the Jail Break server or the Left 4 Dead/2 servers, but I will as soon as I finish the groups, and by groups I mean Game Admin because that is the only admin everyone will have (it is the highest admin). The following users will have this admin:

I've finished converting Squads Mod from an array-based system of saving squad/player information to a keygroup-based (used in Windows) or map-based (used in C++) system (whichever term you are more comformatble with).

I have also modularized Squads Mod cutting the main script down from 2500 lines to 1600, with the modules:
*abilities
*classes
*colors
*health
and
*points

In their own scripts, which will save on load time.

The change log for the new version exempt the aforementioned:
*#openmenu and #closemenu always on.
*ss_hide_menu to stop squad popups from automatically sending to the user.
*#kickleader now functional.

Subscripts:
*Abilities
**All squad abilities now functional, these include armor, speed, revive, and stealth. Skills and Individual Abilities under construction. Abilities do not yet cost points to test the balance of each.
**Armor gives 500 armor.
**Speed and Stealth now run out after 10 seconds. Speed gives you an adrenaline burst meaning it increments and decrements quickly.
**Speed and Stealth will not remove speed and stealth from Sharpshooters and Vanguards after use.
**Squad Leaders will no longer receive a message that they revived themselves or similar.
*Classes
**Health perks changed on three of the classes.
**Medics no longer have a speed perk, sharpshooters do.

Squads Mod is about the tactics and the strategy, something that Classes and Abilities does bring in a way. But I do not want full concentration on Classes and Abilities, rather I want Squads Mod used to bring tactics into Counter-Strike: Source as the Knights Templar Mercenaries tried to.

Remember, I said I would restart |KTM| when Squads Mod and the Roster System were finished, but Squads Mod will probably be in constant development for years, so I need a benchmark on that.

The Roster System is actually finished in a way. All I have to do is write one MySQL statement and I can add people to the roster. The problem is the squads.
The Squads System for the Roster is very much like Squads Mod in PHP. The problem is that I need to finish designing the database for squads.

That and I've been working on building up the |TSG| a lot. We have 6 L4D/2 servers split down the middle and one Killing Floor server. Instead of bitching at me to get |KTM| back up you should do something yourself. Help build up |TSG|, populate the |KTM| Normal Server and report bugs, RECRUIT.

A good organization is not run by one man, a good organization runs itself.

As most of you know, |KTM| was scheduled for relaunch Summer 2010, for several reasons:

1) We have maximum free time during the summer (at least most of us), this would have allowed for three practices a week, faster promotions, faster server fixes, and faster development.
2) I have 18 credit hour semesters, with very little time to do |KTM|-related work, and even less time to do homework.
3) We did not fulfill the three-part requirements I specified for the new |KTM|:
a. Website/Forums - I enjoyed how some people (*cough* Yoshi *cough*) said on New Year's Eve that we did not need things like a website and forums to restart the organization, and then a few weeks later said I had made no progress in the organization because we do not have a website and forums up. I love hypocrisy.
b. Squads System - An AUTOMATED system that allows me to add new members, promote them, move them between squads, basically do everything that |KTM| stood for: a squad-based combat unit run on fast promotions and realism implementation.
c. Squads Mod - For those of you who say my scripts "fail" or are "unnecessary", please leave now. My scripts have been to your benefit, and because of your ignorance I will not defend my reasons for using PracticeMod or Squads Mod, because obviously you do not understand nor belong in |KTM| if you do not understand why we use these scripts. To deny PracticeMod is to deny quick strategical overviews, practices that do not take six hours, and discipline itself. To deny Squads Mod is to deny the very idea of |KTM|.

With this in mind, take note that I can no longer host practices on Thursday and Saturday, I have fallen behind in my classes, failed a quiz today, and may fail two exams and quizzes on Monday if I do not have this Saturday to study. This does not apply to just this week, this applied to last week and the week before. This year has challenged me with a very heavy courseload that I have to persevere through.

I was also going to give this choice to several members when I came home today:

Pick one: |KTM| or Code Geass: Source, we can only do one.

And then I realized that I cannot even do |KTM|. Code Geass: Source can fit into my free time because it is coding, because I have the resources at school, so on so forth. |KTM| requires monitoring my server computer, fixing my game servers, protecting against exploits, hosting events, etc., a commitment I cannot keep.

This in mind, I have decided to shut down |KTM| until the summer, but different than before. This "shut down" will be no different than shutting down a computer. Everything will stay as it is. We will not reset promotions again, you will have your rank in the summer, you can even wear your tags in game until the summer.

We will also keep recruiting, but a different type of recruiting. We do not want undedicated gamers who simply want to "pwn noobs", we want people who will sign up for |KTM|, for what it was originally. |KTM| is not a clan, not even a unit (yet), |KTM| is a project bent on bringing a virtual military unit to Counter-Strike: Source based on squad combat, strategy, and tactics.

If you wear |KTM| tags you must still abide by our bylaws, but you can also join another clan if you so wish to scrimmage in CEVO or the sort. Please note that when |KTM| restarts you will have to pick between |KTM| and your clan.

So in synopsis, no events, no practices, servers will remain up, you can populate them if you like, you can invite ANYONE to the groups (who has not been banned from the |UGA|/|KTM| [Renegade...]), you can keep wearing your tags, you can keep |KTM| alive.
