This can be fixed but it requires people to change all their prices
this is infact one of the reasons that games them self are increasing in price. Dev's and publishers understand the fact that when a new game is released is when its more lucrative ( by this i mean they sell the most ) this will more then likely be the reason we see another increase on games by 10 bucks
Gamers are the most foolish people with money which is why gaming is always a sellers market ( even with the low profits ) and never a buyers market.
Now how this transfers to this market place is that if people want they items which they will most certainly will they will pay what ever the price is to get it. Now im obviously not saying sell them for 100 bucks but something reasonable like .50c cents per crate would still sell
