Is it possible to get a ban for boosting items in the market?
I and a group of people want to trade, buy some item in large quantities and then sell it. I don't know, maybe it's related to the frequent problems of the steam server, I'm worried about the correctness of my actions

That depends, if you are manipulating the market then yes, you can be banned for that (I've seen it happen a hand full of times). That is where you take a known low-selling item and then buy them all up to place it at a much higher price and sell them.

Overall it's not worth doing but if you know prices for items and they are selling low because someone else doesn't know the going rates you can buy that item and obviously sell it for the current going price or higher, but large quantities of items will catch Valve eye and will more than likely be looked into.

U don,t have to sell all in the same day.. that why we have Storage units in cs go.. to store the items ... U sell a few thousands in a day, the others in another day,..

That is, there is nothing prohibited here?

Let's say any sticker has 2950 requests for sale, we buy 1500 of them, and then the price becomes more expensive relative to the artificial scarcity. Does this count as prohibited activity?

I'd say that all so depends, if the price rises on it's own a bit then no but if you piggyback on someone else doing the manipulating then maybe, I've seen others jump on it and had the items and money refunded but I don't think banned (but who knows how they justify bans/warning) I've got a hand full of false ones for nothing and that's just on posts.

u can do all that u want, without so much advertising here ,.. Valve cares just about market profit, more expensive is an item - more fee % they get from listed price
so, feel free to increase the price ..

As much as this is right and Valve makes all the money they need just from the market alone no they obviously don't just care about the profit they get from it if they did they'll let anyone and everyone manipulate the market without punishment which is not the case.

overpricing all junk stickers / skins is not the best idea

there's just one flaw in your plan - people who'll keep lower item price by listing it at minimal price. in the end of the day you might end up paying more than you can earn from selling everything back. but keep us updated how it went :)

it is possible with junk items ,.. first guys who trick the prices of p250 Sand dune were from Ukraine,.. they buy until got better price then trade them into a trading site and got the site bankrupt ,.. as they got a better value in the site for the p250 skin, but nobody took them from the site, as it is a junk skin, so moderators had to sell them back in Community market .. for much lower price, of course
