Here we are once more at last. Rituals are slowly forgotten; cycles wobble, elongate, and sputter; the sun rises for the last time; signals fade, corrode, decay. There is sorrow in this loss. An essence is truly abandoned to time which had, for so long, served such important roles in the clockwork of our universe. The mediating darkness is a time of confusion. Throughout this transition, the pain of grief serves as a focal point in our reflection, clarifying aspects of the loss we refuse to let die, amplifying our need for resurrection. Gently, almost imperceptibly, the seeds sown in the dying gasp of those cherished times reach the milestone of the surface and are immediately bathed in brilliant light. The journey is far from complete, but now time flips from tormentor to mentor. This fresh growth will never replace the towering inspirations of yore. And they're not expected to. Let us all welcome to the pantheon our newest Player of the Week `Jim`, who has already joined the ranks of the great and will help us re-establish a comforting stability.
