Following the collapse of the Altmeri Dominion, Valenwood was left without oversight from the Summerset Isles. The Cameron dynasty was long gone; in its place, a council of the leaders of the Bosmeri cities, with the First Councilor in the traditional capital of Falinesti, was made.

With lack of oversight from a Dominion, and centuries of a dissolved Empire in which Cyrodiil has been picking itself up, the future of Valenwood is unknown. Despite bearing the highest Elven population, Valenwood does not make full use of its possible intrastructure, leaving its armies humble despite the bustling population.
