About Breaking Point

Breaking Point is a Standalone version of the mod of the same name built in Unreal Engine 4. Building the game from the ground up with the Unreal Engine means that we will be able to develop, iterate on, and perfect not only what made our original mod so fun but all of the designs that we were unable to implement due to the limitations of the previous engine. Please stay tuned!

Hey friends, just wanted to be a friendly grammar nazi re: your kickstarter:

1. About project, 3rd sentence: should say "in-depth" instead of "in depth".
2. Mod support: last sentence: is "add anything into game", should be "add anything into the game".

That's it for now, I love the idea of what you're doing, and I learned about it from Sacriel plugging it shamelessly (love it!).

Go forth and kick ass!

@professor First of all, "Also, your friend probably did something what was against the rules." And you are commenting about my grammar you mean? Thats fine, its a typical "go to" when trying to discredit people when they dont like what is being said.

And its not only probable but fact that you have no idea what really happened. So saying that he probably did something against the rules is based off of what? Your own experience doing so? We wouldnt have went through that much trouble of trying to get back into the game if we didnt enjoy it and were breaking the rules. I have played the game with him for hundreds of hours, so yeah, I do in fact know first hand exactly how he plays. Oh and wait, lets not forget that he was told by an admin thats exactly why he was banned. He was told that he was grouped with a cheater, must have known, and had to of benifited from it. He didnt even know why he was banned, initially he thought it was a mistake or a bug of some type.

@vazrik, first of all your english doesnt make sense. Second, i've never encountered a cheater on breaking point, with one of the best anti-cheat systems. Also, your friend probably did something what was against the rules (duping or building exploit)

I would be careful supporting this game. I won’t be supporting it in fear of wasting my money getting banned. When grouping just came out for the mod, a friend of mine was banned for being in a group with a cheater. (at least that is what he and I was told) I was deployed for a few months during that time, when I came back and tried to game with the normal group I play the game with was no longer playing. My friend and one other that I had played with before were banned because of this elusive cheater that they had apparently grouped with at some point in time and HAD to know he was cheating. Some of the other people I had played with before had a similar story and had quit playing. I nearly got banned trying to help my friend get unbanned from the mod.

I am a strong supporter of anti-cheat and strict rules against cheating, for me it is a wasted gaming experience. I don’t understand what people even get out of any unfair advantage, to me there is no real victory there or skill involved. But just waving around a ban hammer at whoever unfortunately isn’t the answer every time. The times of DayZ mod were great, unfortunately the actual game wasn’t at least for a while. I never went back to it because Breaking Point mod was out and on Arma3. The constant problems with the mod and wipes were always eating away at the experience, but overall was one of the best gaming experiences I have had. Mainly because of friends, the concept of the mod, and I will admit it was nice not having very many cheaters around.
