The Free Soundtrack of Shattered Horizon
Futuremark, a Finnish software developer that specialises in producing computer benchmark applications for home users & businesses, once attempted to develop video games. Their game division, Futuremark Game Studio's first attempt was a first-person zero-gravity shooter called Shattered Horizon.

Unfortunately despite it's unique & innovative spin on the first-person shooter genre (And with a gametype & later standard feature dedicated to "Silent Running" where the player sacrifices their HUD & ability to hear to become harder to spot, it's deemed one of the most realistic games set in space by those that can remember it's existence), the game didn't enjoy much success, often attributed to it's need for DirectX 10 at a time before Windows 7 arrived as well as the understandably highly steep skill floor of a shooter where you can literally be shot from every single direction & any surface.
After numerous updates that introduced new maps, a revised & expanded weapon arsenal from the multi-purpose rifle to loadout-style weapon varieties (Auto-Shotguns, Pistols, Machine-Guns, Sniper Rifles, etc), bots & a singleplayer/co-op mode Last Stand, the game would later cease being sold on Steam after the developers could no longer support the game, then Futuremark Game Studios would go on to create a few mobile titles before being sold off to Rovio Entertainment in 2012 so that Futuremark could return to focusing on benchmark applications. Shattered Horizon now is only available via Desura at the time of writing & CD copies, which both still require Steam, with community servers providing what little spark of life exists for the player-base.

But there was a soundtrack release for the game, and freely too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vrcFU3zLGM
Composed by Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen, three tracks that make up the bulk if not the whole of the game's music were released in OGG format for free to download.
The old download link has since gone down along with the game's website, and while Futuremark staff did provide a new download link in a forum post following this, this seems to have gone down (or now require authentication) after the company merged into UL (Underwriters Laboratories) as UL Benchmarks. Thankfully, internet archives like the Wayback Machine can still provide a working link:

Press Kit: http://web.archive.org/web/20101019095707/http://www.shatteredhorizon.com/media/shattered_horizon_presskit.zip

If none of these links work for you, I have a personal back-up included in an audio file extraction I have for download here: Sound Collection: Shattered Horizon

I cannot determine what terms Futuremark had or UL Benchmarks maintain at all having since giving up on game development, nor do I believe Shattered Horizon is considered abandonware due to being still sold via Desura (Which appears to be down at present), so I'd safely say monetisation of content using this music is not recommendable. Otherwise, it's some space opera goodness I very fondly remember and may give you a good listening experience too.
